As an Internal Auditor Sr., you will be within PNC’s Internal Audit organization, supporting the Independent Risk Management Audit team, specifically within Operational Risk Management. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Preferred locations include Pittsburgh, PA, and Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

The Operational Risk Management Audit team is focused on auditing the second line of defense, including frameworks, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of audit methodology and/or second line risk management is preferred.

Job Description

  • Conducts execution of internal audit plan by leading or conducting financial, compliance or operational audit projects including the examination and evaluation of the adequacy of internal controls.

  • Independently executes audit scope, objectives, and work plans. Assesses risk and controls, performs testing of key controls, and documents results. Documents audit work demonstrating command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.

  • Executes procedures supporting external audit of internal controls, business processes, and account balances.

  • Presents audit findings to audit management for the development of reports and recommendations.

  • Develops and maintains productive client and team relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.

Process Management – Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques and ability to understand, monitor, update, or enhance existing business or work processes.

Written Communications – Knowledge of written communications issues and ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
