2 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 05/05/2024 - 10/15/2024.

All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 and 4, page 1. Workers will perform a combination of tasks involved in the planting, cultivating and harvesting of diversified ground crops, according to the instructions of the supervisor. Workers will work in greenhouse planting and transplanting seedlings. Workers will operate farm machinery and work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage or distribution. Workers will plant and transplant crops in the field. Workers will perform field work of hand weeding, thinning and hoeing, as well as other duties related to the planting, maintaining and harvesting of the crops. Workers will shape and harvest Christmas trees. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmers fields); and or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid drivers license, no worker will be rejected for not having a drivers license. Workers are required to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers will harvest the crops according to the quality and method of the employer. Due to safety concerns, there will be NO cell phones used during working hours. Workers will work in varied weather conditions. Workers may require to work 9 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Friday. Beginning and ending times each day, as well as the number of hours per day will vary depending on the weather and the conditions of the crops. Workers must be available to work Saturdays. Workers will be given a 30-minute lunch break and a 15-minute break in the morning and afternoon. Workers must be able to take directions in simple English.
