Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops. Workers must have the knowledge of soil tillage and the ability to apply fertilizers and pesticides, operate and repair farm machinery. Workers will perform other activities related to production of crops. Workers will work in the greenhouse planting and transplanting seedlings, as well as planting and transplanting crops in the field. Workers will perform field work of weeding, thinning, hoeing and other duties related to the planting, maintain and harvesting of crops. Workers may work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage, distribution or sale at the farm stand. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Driver\'s License may be required. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring and fall to hot, humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers may require to work 12 hours shift within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Friday and may require to work 10 hours shift within the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm on Saturdays. Worker will be given at least 30 minutes for lunch. Workers must be available to work Saturdays. Workers will use hand and power tools including but not limited to shovels, hoes, pruners and irrigation pumps. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
