Job Description Summary:

A qualified physician who practices medicine, usually in a hospital or clinic, under the direct or indirect supervision of a senior clinician registered in that specialty such as an attending physician or consultant. This is a one-year Otorhinolaryngology - Facial Plastic Fellowship, encompassing a full spectrum of Facial Plastic Surgery as well as interdisciplinary management of these patients. Clinical and research involvement.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

• Admission to the fellowship is contingent upon completion of one of the ACGME-approved residencies in Otolaryngology, and eligibility to sit for a board examination in Otolaryngology.

Job Duties Outlined:

• Involved as a primary or assisting surgeon on all facial plastic surgeries. Sees clinical patients for various presenting complains as pertains to Otolaryngology, and inpatient consults and staff residents as needed on patients with Otolaryngology complaints. On each particular rotation, follows the pre-operative as well as post-operative course of the facial plastic patients who were first seen in clinic and then received surgery.
• Participates in ENT call pool of faculty members taking staff call and acts as a teaching physician resource for the residents. Supervises residents on call and serves as an attending surgeon for urgent and emergent procedures during the on-call time.
• Has didactic teaching responsibilities including resident/medical student lectures and one or two presentations at Grand Rounds and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
