Job Description

Job Summary:

Plans and executes training initiatives that improve individual results. Recommends or creates materials and appropriate delivery methods for programs on a variety of topics. Creates training reports and maintains training records. Uses needs assessment tools to identify performance gaps and uses evaluation methods to determine training effectiveness. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.

Job Duties:

  • Consults with business leaders regarding gaps between current and desired business results.

  • Recommends effective responses.

  • Develops programs and learning activities.

  • Implements comprehensive programs to achieve results.

  • Delivers training sessions.

  • Evaluates results.

  • As appropriate, reports results at the volume, satisfaction, learning and performance improvement levels.

  • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

  • OTS – Ability of Testers to Provide Effective Feedback

  • Packaging learning activities for People Station Learning

  • Managing PS Learning Assignments and Programs

  • Safety

  • Posting Video

  • Safety Leadership

  • Online Content, Including SkillSoftSafety Courses

  • Evaluating alternatives and recommending improvements

  • Supporting Values and Critical Skills

  • Additional Projects as Identified

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline

  • 5 years business experience related to initiatives that improve individual results

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Requirements:

5 year(s) experience designing, developing, and/or implementing training programs
