International Crew Resources Manager
This position assists in ensuring the efficient management and movement of cross-border train and engine crews by ensuring the crews are compliant with all appropriate regulations (FRA, etc.). Also assists in coordination of transportation for crews with taxi companies.
Assists in the planning and logistical execution of international crew resources.
Distributes and briefs Safety Data Vehicles to international crews to ensure compliance with US FRA regulations
Audits and provides support to international crews regarding Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required by, and to ensure compliance with, FRA regulations.
Tracks and reminds international crew of upcoming expiration dates for certification documents (Passport, Visa, FAST, LFF, GCOR, etc).
Interacts appropriately and effectively with Mexican and US Customs authorities.
Assists in handling exceptions related to international crews.
Helps manage the Auto Crew Call system to support the transportation plan.
Coordinates with taxi companies to transport crews between the trains and their lodging facility.
Assists in issuance of bulletins and abolishment notices for train and yard jobs.
Helps with creation of daily and monthly reports.
Monitor and regulate crew boards at each location.

High School Diploma - General Studies - GED - General Studies.
6 year(s) - Prior railroad operations and/or crew logistics experience, including experience working with US and Mexico customs.
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Requires shift work that includes weekends, nights and holidays.
Have a working knowledge of the Spanish language to effectively and appropriately interact with Mexico and US customs, collect data, prepare reports and participate in conference calls in English and Spanish.
Must have Basic Computer Skills.
Must be able to cross border and have a passport and attend meeting in Mexico.
Must have a valid driver license.
Ability to work well with other managers in a team setting.
Have a familiarity with Passport application and renewal processes, US Visa application and renewal processes, CBP FAST application and renewal processes, and any other requirements for international crew qualifications.
Must be able to become familiar with RIT rules and become GCOR conductor qualified to the level of international crews through appropriate training and testing.
Must be able to become familiar with Enterprise Workforce Management (EWM) functions to train, assist, and troubleshoot KCSMS international crew tie-up procedures including paper time slips.
Job requires detailed and organized record keeping skills.
