Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

1st Shift Mobile Equipment Operator Job Description:

As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, cranes, track mobiles, and/or yard vehicles to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.  A Mobile Equipment Operator will ensure proper identification of parts and materials.  At the Senior level, a Mobile Equipment Operator will operate the switch-engine and coordinate activities of the switch-engine crew within the plant yard.  A Mobile Equipment Operator will move incoming or finished material to and from storage, production line, repair line, etc. A Mobile Equipment Operator will maintain the safety of crew and rail cars and will follow all safety rules and practices.  May also be involved in safety committees or initiatives.  Will perform other duties as assigned.

1st Shift Mobile Equipment Operator Job duties: 

• Operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, cranes, track mobiles and/or yard vehicles
• Move material and products between workstations as necessary 
• Operates overhead cranes

• Additional duties as assigned

   

   1st Shift Mobile Equipment Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year related experience

• Ability to operate a lift truck (6,000 -- 15,000 pound capacity)
• Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently 
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment 
• Regular and predictable attendance
