Expeditionary Operations Research Analyst

Summary:

Position located at Tyndall AFB FL, Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). DAWSON provides technical, engineering, and planning advisory and assistance services in support of the AFCEC, Readiness Directorate, Expeditionary Engineering Division to maximize capabilities in Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force (BEEF), Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE), and expeditionary facilities/equipment/energy modernization programs. We provide Advisory and Assistance Support (AandAS) and associated deliverables in support of the AFCEC/CXX missions to include: Strategic Planning, Process Mapping, Continuous Improvement, Acquisition Support Services, Expeditionary Engineering and Emergency Services, Readiness, Pavements, and Training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have the expertise and capability to use the Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems and assist in the dissemination of information gained on a project or program specific basis to all Air Force programs.
  • Store, transmit, evaluate and/or present data generated in support of the AFCEC missions, collect data on services AFCEC provides to its customers daily and analyze and update reports.
  • Assist in digitally design and producing visual media products, such as Power Point presentation material and consult with Air Force Public Affairs, graphic illustrators on development of media images and coordinate with local staff or contracted photographers.
  • Will use geospatial information and assist in the development, use, training, and certification of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and systems associated with expeditionary engineering.
  • Support the development of software applications by capturing and translating user requirements into applicable documents and assist in creating and/or supporting the development of Civil Engineer (CE) Information, Technology Change Requests (ITCR), Department of Defense Architecture Framework, (DoDAF) Documents, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and utilize Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Information Technology investment Portfolio System (ITIPS)

Education/Experience Required:

  • Associate degree and 10 years' experience in U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering career field or minimum 20 years' experience in Air Force CE career field

Knowledge Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills such as knowledge of product (Air Force Civil Engineering), patience, attentiveness, clear communication skills, time management and ability to use positive language to interact with customers on behalf of an organization.
  • Technically related experience in TTP development, Unified Facilities Codes (UFC), Joint Construction Management System (JCMS), Agile Combat Support (ACS), Adaptive Basing modeling and simulation, training development, and SUAS and robotic operations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills to work and maintain SharePoint, websites, input data and perform trend analysis using computer software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, written and verbal skills; ability to research, analyze data/trends and present findings at the executive level.
  • Experience directly related to technical and program management support for the modernization of Airfield Damage Repair (ADR), Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR), and Hardened Infrastructure Protection for Persistent Operations (HIPPO), is highly desired.
  • Requires expert knowledge in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and GIS software, traditional and automated survey techniques and equipment such as total stations, global positioning systems, machine control, remote sensing technologies and Civil Engineer operations (i.e., aircraft parking, beddown planning, airbase recovery and raining
