Heavy equipment operator for a utility construction company that does both commercial and federal work.

Job Description

• Searching for a reliable and punctual Heavy Equipment Operator who will be responsible for operating heavy equipment on closed construction sites for the installation of underground utilities for new build construction.

• Tasks include digging trenches, laying pipe, backfilling trenches, and cutting grading.

• The operator will also be required to assist with all aspects of work as needed, from digging with shovels to laying pipe.

Requirements

• 3+ years Experience with heavy equipment

• Must have Drivers License.

• Must have reliable transportation

• Proficiency in excavators, loaders, and skids

• MUST have the ability to grade with +/- .10', cut grade and read stakes

• MUST have the ability to shoot grade with lasers

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Job Type

• This is a direct placement position

• $24-$30/hr depending on experience

• Monday - Friday Schedule

Work Site

• This is a fully on-site position. Shop is in Calhan, CO.

• Projects are in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Fairplay. Must be willing to follow the work.

Work Environment

• Will be working on closed commercial construction sites.
