Job Description

We are hiring an Injection Technician to join our team in Guelph, ON.

$28.02 / hour

Shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Benefit Package enrollment from Day 1

Must be able to work the following schedule:

Rotating 12-hr continental shift schedule; 4 days on, 4 days off, monthly rotation from days to nights ( 5:50 am - 6:05 pm, 5:50 pm to 6:05 am )

The Injection Technician is a critical role within the factory team. This individual is involved in all aspects of the injection molding process including but not limited to safe operations, product quality, equipment reliability and maintaining a productive, organized work environment. This role has a mix of autonomous operating as well as working as part of a team and the flexibility to adapt to the day’s plan is vital to development and success in this position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintaining an organized, safe working environment and adhering to site safety rules, protocols, and procedures (PPE, safe work practices, LOTO, etc.)

• Operate multiple injection machines at the same time while prioritizing tasks and deliverables to meet quality and production requirements

• Drive equipment reliability through equipment understanding, line controls, preventive maintenance routines, CILs, and set-up procedures

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the technical team, upstream/downstream operators and other relevant stakeholders to ensure productivity of area

• Adherence to site and department quality standards (quality checks, monitoring, reporting, etc.)

• Maintain proper receiving and inventory standards within department (paperwork, documentation, testing, etc.)

• Adherence to 5S, GMP, Health & Safety and environmental initiatives

• Responsible for routine Safety, QA, QS-infinity, Traceability and Production Reporting (SAM)

• Adherence to all assigned Safety, Environment, Quality and Maintenance procedures

• Completion of all Autonomous & Planned Maintenance inspections and activities

• Be trained on and utilize a forklift as part of regular duties

• Active involvement in Continuous Improvement and problem solving (GSTD) plans

• All other duties as assigned, including cross-training/supporting other departments as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent

• Previous Injection experience will be an asset

• Forklift experience an asset

• Demonstrated technical ability in a process-oriented manufacturing environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously

• Solid problem solving and decision making skills

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with other team members.

• Solid computer skills, including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise management software (SAP)

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 lbs

• Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
