Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops and grapes. Workers must have the knowledge of soil tillage and the ability to apply fertilizers and pesticides and operate and repair farm machinery. Workers may deliver crop to farm markets or perform other farm related duties as the need arises. Workers will care for bees to assist in pollination of the crops. Workers will be required to work in a storage building washing, culling, and prepping produce for storage, distribution or sale at farm stand. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, western union or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid drivers license, no worker will be rejected for not having a driver\'s license. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring and fall to hot, humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers must be available to work Saturdays. Workers will use hand and power tools such as but not limited to shovels, hoes, pruners, irrigation pumps and chainsaws. Workers may cut wood to heat greenhouses in the spring. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Workers may require to work 8.5 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday. Workers will be given a 30-minute lunch break and a 15-minute break in the morning and afternoon. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers must be able to take directions in simple English. After hiring the employer may conduct random drug testing at the employers expense.
