DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a member of the transportation crew, operators perform a variety of duties relating to the operation of equipment used for transportation of patients, construction, and maintenance work. Operators will plow snow, transport patients on and off grounds, deliver food, supplies, and medications campus-wide in addition to other duties, as necessary. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Hours of work: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, schedule rotation includes working (7) days with two weekend days off then working (3) days with two weekdays off; 30-minute lunch Overtime: As needed and subject to emergency call-in Travel: As needed The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement:

You must be in possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
