Wolters Kluwer Business Intelligence Manager in Trenton, New Jersey

Location: US Remote

The Business Intelligence Manager role requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise, conceptual and practical knowledge of theories and principles in the discipline of business intelligence, and applies general knowledge of business and industry practices.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Provides data driven insights into what and why it happened using descriptive data analysis, root cause analysis, data management tools, visualization and other tools and processes to develop, test, implement and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports and change recommendations. Identifies patterns and trends and to answer questions that are not obvious and transforms raw data into use and business trend insights.

You must be able to serve as an advisor on advanced and broad ranging projects. Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services. Lead others in solving complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions. Lead functional teams or projects. Exercise judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaption of both standard and complex techniques and procedures. Use in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures and monitors trends.

Qualifications:

  • Expert level working knowledge of Visualization tools, like Tableau, PowerBI and CRM Analytics

  • Experience managing or leading technical teams is a must have, preferably in both BI and Analytics domain.

  • Sound knowledge of AI based products and capabilities will be plus.

  • Hands on experience with advanced SQL, and data wrangling using programming languages like Python.

  • Advanced excel skills with ability to perform complex lookup, pivoting and intuitive charts and graphs.

  • Good communication and organizational skills with significant attention to detail

  • Experience working in Agile environment, preferably with Agile Scrum processes, with ability to outline priorities, roadmap, and detailed level stories for assigned members of the team.

  • Exposure to ML Ops systems, with working knowledge of development and deploying solutions on at least one ML Ops ecosystem will be an added advantage.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams of domain experts, engineers, data scientists, product management teams.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Desire and ability to thrive in a distributed environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Passionate about latest technology trends with a strong desire for innovation.

  • Self-motivated, self-managing and able to work independently.

Experience:

  • Total of at least 6 to 7 years’ experience with at least 5 years’ experience working in Insights and analytics area.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E/ B Tech. computer science, engineering, statistics/mathematics or a related field) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent, master’s a plus

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $117,500-$164,700
