SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for a Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The individual must be a self-starter with experience working with inter-disciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal) and apply for and maintain up to a Secret clearance, as well as having a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be experienced in electrical/electronic trouble shooting

  • Must have communication support/experience (900 MHz wireless radio, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 4G/5G wireless modem, etc.)

  • Must have data acquisition experience

  • Must have a solid understanding of the environmental impact of how equipment performs in different environments - from solar and battery performance to temperature impact on instrumentation, etc.

  • Must have experience in logistics – from shipping to deployment of the instrumentation

  • Must have networking and coding experience (Command Line Interface, MATLAB, C/C++, Visual Basic, Visual Studio)

  • Must have hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods including use of network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc.

  • Must be able to actively partner with other engineers, project managers, technicians, and the customer to develop solutions that adhere to a diverse set of requirements.

  • Must have strong technical, oral, and written skills and be detail oriented

  • Must have great mathematical and analytical skills with incredible problem-solving abilities

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with little supervision

  • Willingness to work in outdoor settings (physically demanding environments)

  • Your resume must provide sufficient experience and / or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electric Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution.

  • 3 to 5 years professional experience OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • To be acceptable, the program must :

  • (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET);

  • or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics : (a) statics, dynamics;b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics
