The Product Specialist leads, executes, and manages projects related to the technical area for existing and new C&D products, based on the project methodology, covering aspects of GMPs, regulatory compliance and internal C&D policies.

It is responsible for the development, maintenance and optimization of the products and packaging of the C&D Mexico items, as well as the related technical documentation.

Provides support in the generation or changes of artwork, evaluating the technical components of packaging materials, ensuring that technical documents are available to internal and external customers.

The position must guarantee regulatory compliance with validations/transfer of technology, at the production and conditioning level, in the projects generated in C&D Mexico, applying corporate policies on the matter, and ensuring the robustness, reliability and reproducibility of the processes executed with contract manufacturers and suppliers in Mexico.

Attend recurring brand team meetings to provide needed updates and plan accordingly for future activity including specific project support.

Main responsibilities:

  • The Product Specialist leads, executes, and manages projects related to the technical area for existing and new C&D products, based on the project methodology, covering aspects of GMPs, regulatory compliance and internal C&D policies. Processes, procedures, documents, records, and systems must be in place based on their status throughout the life cycle.

  • It is responsible for the development, optimization - maintenance of the packaging material and products conditioned in C&D Mexico, as well as the related technical documentation (without being limited to specifications, mechanical drawings, packaging guides with calculation of product palletization, analysis of risk, change controls, deviations, etc.)

  • Support in the generation or changes of artwork, evaluating the technical components of packaging materials, ensuring that technical documents are available to internal and external customers and assigning EAN and DUN barcodes.

  • Support the Good to Great (G2G) team with cost saving projects

  • It is responsible for the start-up of process/technology transfer (RTM and RTS) of the processes carried out with third parties for production and conditioning processes in Mexico.

  • The position must guarantee regulatory compliance with validations/technology transfer, at the production and conditioning level in the projects generated in C&D Mexico, applying corporate policies on the matter, and ensuring the robustness, reliability and reproducibility of the processes executed with CM and suppliers in Mexico.

  • Execute the responsibilities of the position in accordance with local and corporate legislation and the C&D code of conduct.

  • It is responsible for issuing and maintaining the PNO's, Protocols and reports and technical documentation required to keep the responsibilities of the position under control.

Educational background required:

  • Industrial design, chemical engineer degree, or related.

  • Proficient English.

Knowledge required:

  • Packaging design (bottles, corrugate, labels, caps, folding carton, etc.)

  • Validation process

Experience required:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in Consumer-Packaged Goods companies.

  • Ideal candidate has experience with regulated products (medical device, drug, OTC, food, etc.)

  • Manufacturing plant experience and/or R&D process/product experience a plus
