Our company is one of the most significant publicly traded water, wastewater service and natural gas providers in the U.S. Responsibilities and Duties: Operates and maintains water distribution and sewer collection system facilities, including but not limited to water mains, valves, hydrants, service lines, sanitary sewer manholes etc. Utilizes company technology to ensure assigned work is captured within work order management applications. Ensures daily work complies with OEPA and PUCO regulatory requirements for operations. Ensures that daily work complies with established company safety policies and procedures. Operates and performs maintenance on equipment used in the maintenance of the water and/or waste water system. Reads and interprets maps, drawings and schematics including GIS data. Locates and marks mains, services and other facilities for construction work. Performs Customer Service, Meter Reading and Treatment Plant Operations work as assigned. Satisfactorily meets internal and external customer requirements through effective communication and initiative. Proficient in communicating via email and text. Responds to after hour calls to for emergency and non-emergency situations as required. Available for scheduled overtime. All other duties as assigned. Special Education or Registration Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or the GED equivalent. Must be available for emergency work after regular working hours, weekends and for scheduled overtime. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. Must be able to walk long distances. Must be proficient at using computer/tablet Window based applications Hold valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL-A) or obtain within six (6) months of their date of hire/appointment. Hold an Ohio EPA Class I Water Distribution License or an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Collections License or obtain within twenty-four (24) months of their date of hire/appointment.
